Society must unite to eradicate caste discrimination, says Kerala minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 15 (UNI) Kerala Minister for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Welfare K A Thulasi on Thursday called for collective efforts to eradicate caste discrimination, social evils and inequalities, stressing that legal measures must be complemented by public awareness. The minister was inaugurating the state-level concluding ceremony of the Social Solidarity Fortnight, organised by the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Welfare Department from October 2 to 15, at the Mahatma Ayyankali Hall here.
