VP calls for strengthening tea research, modernising factories, developing strong Indian brands to compete globally

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) Vice-President C.P.Radhakrishnan on Monday called for strengthening tea research, modernising factories and develop strong Indian brands to compete in global markets. In his address at the Centenary Conference of the UPASI (United Planters' Association of Southern India) Tea Research Foundation at Coonoor in the hilly Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu said strengthening research, factories modernisation, improving quality and productivity, and developing strong Indian tea brands would enhance the tea sector's competitiveness in global markets.
