KTM explores Tholpavakoothu as storytelling medium for immersive tourism

Kochi, Sep 26 (UNI) Tholpavakoothu, the traditional shadow puppetry of Kerala, is seeking a new role in tourism by emerging as a storytelling medium to introduce visitors to the cultural heritage, landscapes and lesser-known destinations of the state. The initiative was showcased through a dedicated 'Shadow Puppetry' stall at the 13th Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) being held at Willingdon Island, where visitors got an opportunity to learn about the history of the art form, traditional puppets and practices associated with its performances.
