AP govt. to sell onions on subsidized price at Rs 35 a KG

Vijayawada, Sep 29 (UNI) With onion prices rising in the open market, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to sell onions at a subsidised price of Rs 35 per kg through Rythu Bazaars as part of its price-stabilisation measures. The subsidised onion sales will initially be introduced in Vijayawada, with the programme set to begin at all Rythu Bazaars in the city from Wednesday. Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar will formally launch the initiative at the APIIC Rythu Bazaar here.
