Kalyana Lakshmi completes 12 years; KTR accuses Congress of diluting scheme

Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday said the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes had completed 12 years, benefiting 16.78 lakh poor families. In a post on X, KTR said the scheme was inspired by an incident witnessed by former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during the Telangana statehood movement and was intended to ease the financial burden on poor families during their daughters' marriages.
