BJP stands by Musi displaced, opposes demolitions without rehabilitation: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao on Friday said the party was not opposed to Musi River rejuvenation but would strongly resist the demolition of houses without proper compensation and rehabilitation for affected families. Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, he demanded that the government hold a direct public hearing with displaced residents before proceeding with the project. He criticised the October 28 public hearing, alleging that several affected families, including ex-servicemen living in the Madhu Park area, were not allowed to participate.
