BJP defends SIR, says Congress spreading misinformation: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday accused the Congress and its allies of spreading misinformation about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and creating an impression of differences within the Election Commission of India. Addressing the media at the BJP state office, Rao said the objective of SIR was to ensure accurate electoral rolls and remove ineligible or duplicate entries while protecting the rights of genuine voters.
