Telangana: BC employees seek promotion quota, removal of creamy layer

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (UNI) A Joint Action Committee representing 80 Central and State government BC employees' associations on Sunday demanded reservation in promotions for BC employees and removal of the 'creamy layer' criterion from BC reservations in education and employment. The associations, formed by BC employees of the Central government and public sector undertakings, elected Dana Karna Chari as their president. Addressing the meeting, BC leader R. Krishnaiah said reservation in promotions was essential to ensure adequate representation of BCs in higher positions.
