Kerala CM mocks Cockroach Janata Party claim linking SIR to CPI(M)'s electoral defeat

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan on Friday dismissed the claim that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls had led to the CPI(M)'s defeat in the state, asserting that no voter had been denied the right to vote because of the exercise. Satheesan said even the BJP and the CPI(M) had not raised any complaints in Kerala over the revision, while 24 lakh names were deleted from the electoral rolls as part of the removal of duplicate entries and those of deceased persons.
