Temple tusker Brahmadathan's ashes immersed in Bharathapuzha at Thirunavaya

Malappuram, Oct 8 (UNI) The ashes of popular temple tusker Pallatt Brahmadathan were immersed in the Bharathapuzha river at Thirunavaya here on Thursday, following his cremation at Melampara near Pala in Kottayam district of Kerala. The final rites were performed at Thirunavaya, a renowned centre for rituals on the banks of the Bharathapuzha, in the presence of family members and close associates. Brahmadathan, aged 54, died after being struck by lightning at Melampara near Pala on Sunday evening. The tusker was undergoing a period of rest at the time.
