MRPL blast kills contract worker, injures nine in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Sept 30 (UNI) A blast at the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) premises near Jokatte left one person dead and nine others injured on Wednesday, even as authorities brought the situation under control and began assessing the cause of the incident. The deceased was identified as Manish Karkara, around 30, a resident of Mulki and a contract worker at MRPL, who had been reported missing following the fire.
