Yadadri thermal power station's fifth 800 MW unit synchronised with grid

Nalgonda, Oct 21 (UNI) Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (TGGENCO) achieved a major milestone with the synchronisation of the fifth 800 MW unit of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS) with the power grid at 1106 am on Tuesday. The unit was subsequently taken off the grid for further commercial operation date (COD)-related activities. The 4,000 MW YTPS project, located at Veerlapalem village in Damaracherla mandal of Nalgonda district, comprises five units of 800 MW each.
