AP: GVMC gears up for local body elections in 120 wards

Visakhapatnam, Sep 26 (UNI) Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner and Additional Election Authority Ketan Garg on Saturday directed officials to make advance arrangements and work in coordination to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the forthcoming local body elections in all 120 wards under GVMC limits. During a teleconference with departmental officials and Zonal Commissioners, Garg reviewed election preparedness and issued instructions. A day-long training programme on election management was subsequently conducted for Assistant Election Authorities, Returning Officers and other staff here.
