AP DGP warns of stringent action against those obstructing election process

Vijayawada, Oct 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta has warned of stringent action against those who are obstructing the local body election process. In a statement here on Friday, he made it clear that irrespective of political affiliations, all those who create obstacles to the local body election process would be dealt with firmly. The DGP revealed that 31 crime incidents took place in 13 districts on Thursday including snatching of nomination forms for the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections and tore them off during the filing of nominations.
