IIIT-Hyderabad, Hexagon R&D India to set up Digital Twin Centre of Excellence

Hyderabad, Sep 23 (UNI) The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) and Hexagon R&D India on Wednesday announced a collaboration to establish the 'Hexagon Digital Twin Centre of Excellence (CoE)' at IIIT-Hyderabad. The Centre will focus on applied research, education and industry collaboration in computer vision, spatial computing and AI-powered digital twins, a joint release said. As part of the collaboration, students, faculty and researchers at IIIT-Hyderabad will gain access to Hexagon's precision imaging laser scanner, Leica BLK360 G2, along with the relevant software package, to facilitate the creation of high-fidelity digital twins.
