India-Myanmar Joint Exercise Rahat Mitra held in Chennai

Chennai, Nov 6 (UNI) The Indian Army showcased its Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) capabilities during Rahat Mitra, an India-Myanmar joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response HADR exercise conducted in Chennai. The two-day joint exercise was conducted from November 4 and 5, a defence statement said here today. Operating alongside the Indian Navy and Indian Air Force, the Army personnel demonstrated the capabilities of Flood Relief Columns and Engineer Task Forces through practical demonstrations of rescue operations, dewatering and bridge laying to restore connectivity and facilitate access to affected communities.
