Self-sufficiency in milk production is Kerala's goal: Minister Bindu Krishna

Kollam, Sep 28 (UNI) Kerala is aiming to achieve self-sufficiency in milk production by strengthening dairy farmers and dairy cooperative societies and addressing the challenges faced by the sector, Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry Minister Bindu Krishna said here on Monday. The government was taking steps to overcome the difficulties in the dairy sector, including by expanding fodder cultivation, she said. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the state-level implementation of the Ksheerasree Unified Software Accounting Module developed by the Dairy Development Department.
