Multi-crore illegal sand mining case : DVAC books former DMK Minister Duraimurugan, WRD officials, others

Chennai, Nov 7 (UNI) Multiple team of officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) have conducted simultaneous raids across Tamil Nadu in connection with alleged irregularities in river sand mining, resulting in revenue losses to the tune of thousands of crores of rupees to the State exchequer and based on evidences gathered filed cases against former Water Resources Minister and DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan, department officials and others.
