Telangana: Eight held with demonetized notes worth Rs 1.38 Cr in Kazipet

Warangal (Telangana), Sep 19 (UNI) Kazipet Police have arrested eight persons for allegedly attempting to circulate demonetised currency notes and seized Rs 1.38 crore in old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes at Kazipet (Hanamkonda district), police said on Saturday. Police intercepted a car during routine checks at a crossroads and apprehended the accused on Friday after they allegedly attempted to flee, according to Kazipet ACP Prashanth Reddy.
