Telangana: ACB arrests Metpally CDPO for allegedly accepting Rs 63,000 bribe

Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) The Karimnagar Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) unit on Saturday arrested Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Metpally in Jagtial district, Daru Padma, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 63,000 from a complainant in return for not making adverse remarks during the inspection of Anganwadi centres. The accused woman officer had allegedly demanded illegal gratification of Rs 1,000 per month from each of the 21 Anganwadi centres under the Metpally urban mandal.
