KPSC recruitment row: Karnataka HC takes probe from CID, orders fresh SIT investigation

Bengaluru, Sept 21 (UNI) The Karnataka High Court on Monday wrested the probe into alleged irregularities in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment from the CID and ordered a fresh investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), while rejecting the demand for a CBI probe. Justice M Nagaprasanna directed the State to constitute the SIT headed by senior IPS officer Alok Kumar, DGP, Prisons and Correctional Services, to conduct a de novo investigation into the alleged KPSC Veterinary Officer recruitment irregularities.
