Farmers should adopt crop diversification & integrated farming: Tummala

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday advised farmers not to depend on a single crop and instead adopt crop diversification and integrated farming practices, including dairy, fisheries and poultry, to ensure regular income and make agriculture more profitable. Addressing the 113th episode of the 'Rythu Nestham' programme, the Minister stressed the need for advance planning to tackle climate change and the possible impact of El Niño during the upcoming Yasangi (Rabi) season.
