Telangana Chief Secretary reviews water availability, crop situation amid El Niño concerns

Sangareddy, Oct. 15 (UNI) Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Thursday reviewed water availability in the Singur and Manjeera reservoirs and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to Hyderabad and four districts amid declining reservoir levels and concerns over changing weather conditions linked to the anticipated El Niño impact. During a field visit to Sangareddy district, Jaju reviewed contingency plans with senior officials to meet drinking water requirements in Hyderabad, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Nizamabad and Medak districts.
