Kakinada Collector calls for coordinated measures to prevent road accidents

Kakinda, Sept 24 (UNI) Kakinada District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Thursday directed officials to take coordinated measures to prevent road accidents and save lives. Addressing a district-level road safety review meeting at the Collectorate, the Collector said every road user's life was precious and called for effective measures at the field level by the National Highways, Transport and Police departments. He directed officials to identify accident-prone black spots on highways and take safety measures, including installing speed breakers and accident-zone signboards and clearing bushes along roads.
