Kakinada Collector assures farmers to address waterlogging in ayacut areas

Kakinada, Sep 27 (UNI) Kakinada District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Sunday inspected flood-affected agricultural areas in Venkata Krishnarayapuram village of Samalkot mandal and interacted with farmers over waterlogging in irrigation canals and field channels. During the visit, farmers informed the Collector that water hyacinth in the irrigation canal at Achyuthapuram was obstructing water flow, resulting in the flooding of agricultural fields following rains and the inflow of Yeleru water.
