AP: Crops worth Rs 2,500 crore. damaged by 2 cyclones

Vijayawada, Nov 6 (UNI) The two devastating cyclones 'Arnab' and 'Murasu' damaged crops worth over Rs 2,500 crore in Andhra Pradesh affecting over 7.40 lakh farmers. Official sources here today said that as per the preliminary enumeration, crops worth over Rs 2,500 crore in over 5.06 lakh hectares were damaged across the State due to incessant rains and heavy gales under the impact of 'Arnab' and 'Murasu' cyclones which hit the State within a few days.
