AP: Crops in 3.51 lakh hectares damaged due to Cyclone: Minister Atchannaidu

Vijayawada, Oct 29 (UNI) Crops in 3,51,662 hectares were damaged due to Cyclone Arnab in Andhra Pradesh as per the preliminary assessment and the aquaculture sector suffered a loss of Rs 176.82 crore, State Agriculture Minister K Atchannaidu announced here on Thursday. The Agriculture Minister held a review meeting with the Special Chief Secretary, Commissioners and Directors of the agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and fisheries departments. Speaking on the occasion, he said that as per the preliminary assessment crop across the state in 3,51,962.60 hectares were submerged and damaged.
