Telangana: Over 100 sheep killed after being hit by train near Ghatkesar

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) More than 100 sheep were killed after being hit by the Dakshin Express near Aushapur, under Ghatkesar Railway Station limits in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, in the early hours of Tuesday. According to police, the train was travelling towards Hyderabad from Kazipet when it struck the sheep at around 3 am. The herders were sleeping a short distance from the railway track when the animals, reportedly frightened by the sound of trains, ran onto the tracks.
