Sooryavanshi blitz, Jurel finish power RR past RCB

Guwahati, April 11 (UNI) A breathtaking assault by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and a composed finishing act from Dhruv Jurel powered Rajasthan Royals to a six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their Indian Premier League 2026 match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.
Chasing a challenging 202, Rajasthan Royals romped home in just 18 overs, riding on one of the most explosive starts of the season. Sooryavanshi set the tone with a sensational 78 off 26 balls, tearing into the RCB attack from the outset. His blistering half-century came off just 15 balls, reached in dramatic fashion with a top-edged six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar, triggering a standing ovation from the dugout as Jurel embraced him.
He dominated all bowlers, smashing Josh Hazlewood, Abhinandan Singh and Krunal Pandya with audacious strokeplay, propelling Rajasthan to a staggering 97 in the powerplay. His 100-run partnership with Jurel came in just 37 balls, effectively sealing the chase early. Sooryavanshi eventually fell to Pandya, caught by Virat Kohli, missing out on a deserved century.
