Some BJP backers didn't want pausing military action: Jarkiholi

Belagavi, May 13 (UNI) Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi on Tuesday said that several people, including supporters of the BJP, were unhappy with the Union government’s decision to enforce a 'ceasefire' with Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha here, Jarkiholi said, "A lot of people, including some BJP supporters, feel that India should have continued the military action against Pakistan. They seem to be against the 'ceasefire'."
Referring to the Pahalgam terror attack in which several Indians were killed, the Minister said justice has still not been delivered to the victims’ families. "Everyone expected a fullscale war. But it did not happen. It has been stopped as desired by the Union Government. The challenge ahead is how to build the country and strengthen our security infrastructure," he said.
