Snoop Dogg to star in Eli Roth’s horror film ‘Don’t Go in That House, B….!’

Los Angeles, Jan 17 (UNI) Rapper Snoop Dogg is stepping into the haunted house, literally. He will star in the upcoming horror film “Don’t Go in That House, B….!”, produced by Snoop alongside Eli Roth, who is also directing the movie and overseeing its soundtrack, confirms Variety.
Speaking at the Bvlgari Eternal Vimini party in Beverly Hills, Roth revealed, “He’s been wanting to do Death Row Films for a long time. I said we need to make the ultimate haunted house movie, something that mixes House, House by the Cemetery, Hausu, and Friday the 13th. It had to be so insane that people can’t believe it exists. And we gave it the title, ‘Don’t Go in That House, B….!’ And he’s going to star in it.”
According to Variety, Roth, who teased the project with a fake trailer in August, completed the script over the holidays. While Snoop Dogg is confirmed as the lead, no other cast members have officially signed on yet.
“The idea is simple,” Roth explained. “People keep going in the house, and we yell at the screen: ‘What are you doing? Don’t go in that house!’ We turned that instinct into characters, like a Greek chorus, everything you shout at a horror movie, it’s all in the movie.”
Filming is expected to begin in June. Roth added, “We’re budgeting now, and I’m applying for the California tax credit. If we get it, I want to shoot it in Los Angeles so we can use local talent.”
Snoop Dogg is also contributing to the soundtrack of Roth’s next film, “Ice Cream Man.” Roth revealed, “He sent me some score, not hip-hop, but actual score. I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is incredible.’ We have a whole section of the movie completely scored by Snoop.”
He also wrote an original ‘Ice Cream Man’ song that Roth hopes to use during the end credits.
Roth and Snoop previously collaborated on the rapper’s 2012 music video “La La La,” which Roth directed.
Meanwhile, Roth provided an update on the sequel to his 2023 hit ‘Thanksgiving’. Production has been postponed because star Addison Rae is on tour and co-star Milo Manheim recently signed to lead Disney’s live-action ‘Tangled’, as per Variety.
Roth said, “Everybody wants to do it. We’ll find a time when we’re all available, go back for a few weeks, and have fun.”
