SL Navy arrests 32 Indian fishermen

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Aug 8 (UNI) The Sri Lankan Navy on Thursday arrested 32 Indian fishermen and confiscated their four country boats for allegedly fishing in the Island nation’s territorial waters.
Leaders of fishermen associations claimed here tonight that the fishermen hailing from Pamban coastal hamlet in Rameswaram were apprehended while they were fishing on high seas near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL).
However, no official confirmation was made yet.
