SJTA serves notice to a Pratihari servitor for dereliction of duty

Puri, Aug 10 (UNI) Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has issued a show cause notice to one Sibasundar Mahapatra, a Pratihari servitor for dereliction of duty.
Pratihari servitors are traditional temple police who remain present in all important places from the opening of the temple gates to the closing of the temple doors and render services in various rituals.
Sri Jagannath Temple Administrator of rituals Jeetendra Kumar Sahu on Saturday issued a notice to the Pratihari servitor to explain his absence during the opening of the temple gates on Friday morning.
