SIT to investigate cyber theft of Rs 3 Cr from Chandrapur Distt Bank: Maha minister

Mumbai, Mar 25 (UNI) Minister of State Dr Pankaj Bhoyer, announced in the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday that a special investigation team will be set up to investigate alleged theft of more than Rs three crore from an account in the Chandrapur District Bank by an unknown cyber criminal.
While responding to the calling attention notice in the lower house, he said that by hacking into the system of Chandrapur District Bank, an amount of more than Rs three crore was transferred from the customer's account by an unknown person to a bank in Haryana.
Dr Bhoyer further said that the recruitment and other malpractices in the bank will also be investigated.

Stray dogs bit 1,28,252 people in Mumbai alone in 2024: Minister

Nagpur, Dec 13 (UNI) As many as 1,28,252 people were bitten by stray dogs in Mumbai alone in 2024, raising serious concerns about public safety and prompting authorities to intensify measures such as sterilisation and vaccination of free-roaming canines to control their population.
