Sir David Attenborough becomes the oldest-ever Emmy Laureate

London, Oct 18 (UNI) Legendary natural historian Sir David Attenborough has made television history once again, becoming the oldest-ever Emmy winner at the age of 99 years.
The iconic British documentarian received the Outstanding Daytime Personality- Non-Daily honour for his exceptional narration in Netflix's Secret Lives of Orangutans at the 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards held in Pasadena, California, reported Rolling Stone.
Though unable to attend the ceremony, Attenborough's victory marks yet another illustrious chapter in a career spanning more than seven decades.
Attenborough, when he was in his early 90s, won three Emmy Awards in a row in the Outstanding Narrator category, taking the trophy in 2018 (for Blue Planet II), 2019 (Our Planet), and 2020 (Seven Worlds, One Planet). Attenborough was also nominated in the category in four of the past five years, including in 2025 for his work on Planet Earth: Asia.
