Singareni’s 800 MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project coming up in Mancherial

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) The foundation stone for the upcoming 800 MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project at the existing Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) premises in Jaipur, Mancherial district of Telangana, is expected to be laid soon.
Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Balaram, who visited STPP, instructed the plant Executive Director and General Managers to ensure that all arrangements are in place for the foundation stone laying, by the state government.
He personally inspected the performance of the Methanol Pilot Plant established in the STPP premises and directed officials to commence experimental production shortly.
During his visit, he also reviewed the Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu ponds developed in the STPP area.
Balaram also inaugurated the newly constructed Base Workshop for the opencast mine at Ramagundam-1 and inspected CSR Works at Godavarikhani.
At Ramagundam-1 Area, he also inspected the GDK-5 Opencast Mine, reviewed coal production, and examined the saplings planted on OB dumps.
He personally planted a few saplings as part of the environmental initiative.
Subsequently, Balaram visited the IK Opencast Mine in Srirampur Area, where he reviewed the production process, transportation, and other operations, directing officials to meet their targets.
He also visited the Mini Park developed near the mine and inspected the “Balaram Jaladhi” Mini Pond built under the “Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu” initiative.
Expressing satisfaction over the water stored in the ponds, he appreciated the efforts aimed at groundwater recharge.
Director (E&M) M. Thirumala Rao, STPP Executive Director Ch. Chiranjeevi, General Managers Narasimharao, Madan Mohan, and several other officials accompanied the CMD during the visit.
