Silence descends on Ganga Ghats in Kashi as heatwave pushes temperatures past 40 Degrees

Varanasi, April 16 (UNI) Thousands of devotees and tourists visit the holy city of Kashi every day.
While the Ganga Ghats typically bustled with activity from early morning, a profound silence has now begun to settle over the area due to the scorching heat. The city's maximum temperature has crossed the 40-degree Celsius mark—approximately 3 degrees Celsius higher than normal.
There has been a sharp decline in the number of people opting for boat rides on the Ganga. Bookings at hotels and guest houses have also started to drop. Mohit Solanki, a tourist visiting from Bhopal, remarked, "The heat felt particularly intense on the Ganga Ghats because of the stone paving. After walking around with my family for a short while, we are all heading back to our hotel."
