Sikh community outraged over brutal attack on 70-year-old Sikh man in North Hollywood

Chandigarh, Aug 12 (UNI) A 70-year-old Sikh man, Harpal Singh, was brutually attacked in North Hollywood, USA, on August 4, 2025, sparking widespread outrage within the global Sikh community.
The incident, which left the elderly man critically injured, has been condemned as a possible hate crime targeting his faith and ethnic identity. Former Indian cricketer and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP from Jalandhar, Harbhajan Singh, expressed deep shock and anger over the assault.
In a heartfelt social media post, he shared a distressing video showing Harpal Singh bloodied and sitting on the ground, his body covered in wounds. Harbhajan described the attack as not just an assault on an individual but a direct blow to humanity, diversity, and mutual respect.
