Siddaramaiah responds to three crore unmapped voters in Karnataka

Belagavi, Jan 19 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday said that the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise must be carried out with utmost care to ensure that genuine voters are not excluded from the electoral rolls.
He was responding to information that nearly three crore voters in Karnataka have reportedly not been mapped under the (SIR) process. Speaking to reporters here, Sidaramaiah said the Congress would never politicise the SIR process undertaken by the Election Commission. "Our only concern is that genuine voters should not be left out of the voters' list," he said.
Siddaramaiah said the process needs to be implemented cautiously. He said Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been instructed to work carefully and ensure that no voter is subjected to injustice during the revision process.
