Shivakumar hits back, accuses Kumaraswamy of vendetta politics

Bengaluru, Mar 20 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday accused Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy of engaging in "vendetta politics", alleging that cases had been filed against him and his family by Kumaraswamy’s associates in the past.
Addressing a press conference, Shivakumar refuted allegations that the state government was indulging in political vendetta in the encroachment case involving Kumaraswamy. He asserted that government officials were merely executing court orders and clarified that the case concerning the alleged encroachment of 14 acres in Ramanagara district by Kumaraswamy’s family was based on a complaint filed by activist SR Hiremath, not the government.
The Deputy CM further alleged that Kumaraswamy exerted pressure on the Centre to obstruct the renaming of Ramanagara district. He reaffirmed the state government’s determination to proceed with both the renaming and the overall development of the district.
