Sherry Singh creates history, wins India’s first-ever Mrs Universe Crown in 2025

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) In a groundbreaking moment for Indian pageantry, Sherry Singh has been crowned Mrs Universe 2025, marking the first time an Indian has won the prestigious global title.
The 48th edition of the Mrs Universe pageant was held at the lavish Okada Manila in the Philippines, featuring 120 delegates from across the world.
Representing India after winning Mrs India 2025 under UMB Pageants, Sherry captivated the judges with her grace, eloquence, and a compelling advocacy for women’s empowerment and mental health awareness.
Her powerful message, composed demeanor, and empathetic presence resonated strongly throughout the competition, securing her the top honour on a night filled with glamour, emotion, and celebration.
The final results of Mrs Universe 2025 saw India’s Sherry Singh crowned as the winner, marking a historic first for the country. She was followed by Saint Petersburg as the 1st runner-up and Philippines as the 2nd runner-up. The title of 3rd runner-up went to Asia, while Russia secured the 4th runner-up position.
Other top finalists represented regions such as Margarita Island, USA, South West Asia, California, Bulgaria, Myanmar, Pacific, Buryatia, Africa, UAE, Dubai, Japan, North Philippines, Eurasia, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Central Europe, Caspian Sea, Middle East, and North East Europe.
Following her crowning, an emotional Sherry Singh said, "This victory is not just mine—it belongs to every woman who has ever dared to dream beyond limits. I wanted to show the world that strength, kindness, and resilience define true beauty."
The Mrs Universe pageant is known for celebrating women beyond aesthetics, highlighting values like intellect, compassion, and social responsibility.
According to a post made on Instagram by the umbpageants, “PROUD IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! A dream decades in the making… and today, it comes true.
India has officially won its first-ever Mrs. Universe crown! Our very own Sherry Singh, crowned Mrs. India by UMB Pageants, has brought this global honor home, marking a golden chapter in history.”
“This victory is not just Sherry’s, it’s a symbol of hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering spirit of Team India. Our National Director Urmi Boruah and Sherry have poured their hearts and souls into this journey, and today, we stand tall, waving the tricolor with pride across the world. This is more than a win. It’s India’s moment of glory,” the caption read.
This year’s event brought together a global community of powerful women leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers united by their vision of empowerment and sisterhood.
As confetti fell and the Indian flag soared on the global stage, Sherry Singh’s win became a symbol of possibility and pride—a testament to the strength of purpose, resilience, and the power of believing in one’s dreams.
