SHe-Box 2.0 strengthens redressal framework for workplace sexual harassment complaints

New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) The Government on Wednesday reiterated its commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowered environment for women, highlighting the role of SHe-Box 2.0, a technology-driven platform designed to strengthen the implementation of workplace sexual harassment laws and improve access to grievance redressal mechanisms.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development said the initiative forms part of the broader vision of Mission Shakti, the Centre’s flagship programme aimed at enhancing women's safety, security, and empowerment through improved governance, institutional convergence, and technology-enabled service delivery.
According to the government, ensuring safe workplaces is critical to increasing women's participation in the workforce and advancing their economic empowerment. To support this objective, the Sexual Harassment Electronic Box (SHe-Box) portal has been developed to operationalise the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
