Sharp Hike in Vehicle Gas Prices After Domestic LPG Increase; Autorickshaw Drivers Worried

Mumbai, Mar 11 (UNI) Following the recent increase in domestic LPG prices, the government has now announced a significant hike in gas prices used for vehicles, triggering concern among autorickshaw drivers and other transport operators.
The sharp rise in prices comes amid an emerging gas shortage linked to ongoing conflicts in Gulf countries. The war in the region has reportedly damaged several oil wells and refining facilities, prompting many countries to temporarily shut down production at some projects.
In addition, Iran has halted movement along the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a major global route for oil transportation. This disruption has created a ripple effect in international fuel supply, leading to shortages and price increases across several countries.
