Shah casts vote in VP election; leaders across parties participate

New Delhi, Sept 9 (UNI) Home Minister Amit Shah today cast his vote in the Vice Presidential election.
He was accompanied by union Ministers Kiren Rijiju, Arjun Ram Meghwal and L Murugan.
After casting his vote, Shah wrote on X "Cast my vote in the Vice President election of India."
The election witnessed participation by prominent leaders across the political spectrum. union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chirag Paswan, Mansukh Mandaviya and former union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad were among those who cast their votes.
Members from Opposition who voted for the election are Samajwadi Party leaders Jaya Bachchan and Dimple Yadav, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, NCP MP Praful Patel, DMK's Tiruchi Siva and Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala .
Rajya Sabha MP PT Usha and RJD's Manoj Jha too cast their votes.
The results of the Vice Presidential election will be announced later today.
