Service tenure of emergency response vehicle drivers extended by one year: Choudhary

Patna, Jan 22 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday said that the service tenure of drivers deployed under the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) in the state has been extended by one year and enhancement in their honorarium has also been approved.
Choudhary said here that a total of 4,426 driver posts have been sanctioned for the operation of the ERSS project, including 3,418 driver constables and 1,009 driver havildars. The recruitment process for these posts is currently underway.
He said, meanwhile approval has been given to extend the service tenure of retired Army drivers engaged through AWPO, Danapur, to ensure uninterrupted operations.
