Sena announces protest across the state over Indo-Pak cricket match

Mumbai, Sept 13 (UNI) Shiv Sena today slammed the BJP and the BCCI over the India-Pakistan Asia Cup cricket match scheduled for September 14, with Uddhav Thackeray announcing a protest across Maharashtra.
Addressing a press conference at his residence Thackery said that playing a cricket match with Pakistan is an insult to national sentiments as Indian soldiers are sacrificing their lives on the borders and this is an opportunity to convey to the world India's stance on terrorism.
He also said this cricket match is an insult to national sentiments. “Should we be playing cricket with Pakistan while our soldiers sacrifice their lives on the borders?” Thackeray asked.
