Security forces arrest three with suspected RDX in Ambala; area cordoned off

Chandigarh, March 13 (UNI) In a major security operation, the Special Task Force (STF) and local police in Haryana’s Ambala district arrested three individuals on Friday after recovering approximately two kilograms of suspected explosive material, believed to be RDX.
Following the seizure, authorities immediately cordoned off the Barara road area and deployed bomb disposal squads to neutralize any potential threat. Security has been heightened across the region, and the public has been advised to maintain a safe distance from the site while investigators assess the situation.
The operation was carried out based on a specific intelligence input received by the Ambala STF. The three suspects, aged between 20 and 25 years, were intercepted while traveling on a motorcycle from Barara toward Ambala city. Upon searching a bag in their possession, officials discovered the explosive material. The arrested individuals have been identified as residents of Kambasi village, Ajmer, and Meerut, respectively. The motorcycle used in the transport of the material reportedly belongs to one of the accused, identified as Jagveer.
