Scientists convene in Hyderabad to explore alternatives to animal testing

Hyderabad, Oct 8 (UNI) A three-day national conference aimed at finding alternatives to animal use in scientific experiments began at the CSIR–Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad today.
The event, titled SAAE-I 2025 Conference, is being jointly organised by the Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments–India (SAAE-I) and CSIR-CCMB and will continue till October 10.
The conference has drawn more than 180 participants from universities, research organizations, and industries across the country. It provides a platform to share ideas and discuss innovations that align with the global principle of 3Rs — Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement — in animal research.
