SC seeks Union’s response on CBI probe into Defsys Solutions’ alleged role in the Agusta Westland case

New Delhi, Dec 16 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday sought a detailed response from the union of India regarding the status of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged involvement of Defsys Solutions Limited, a defence equipment manufacturer, in the Agusta Westland helicopter scam.
A Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi was hearing the Union’s appeal against a Delhi High Court judgment that had set aside suspension orders issued against Defsys Solutions, despite the company being engaged in several defence contracts with the government.
Appearing for the Union, Additional Solicitor General K.M. Natraj submitted that the suspension of the respondent company was based on an ongoing CBI investigation.

SC seeks report from panel on deficiencies in Manipur relief camps
