SC relaxes Journalist Kappan bail condition in UAPA case

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) Supreme Court on Monday allowed the plea filed by Kerala Journalist Kappan Siddique for relaxation of his bail condition to report to Uttar Pradesh Police every week in a UAPA case registered against him.
A bench comprising justice PS Narsimha Justice Sandeep Mehta relaxed the condition set by the top Court while granting bail in the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in 2022.
The Uttar Pradesh Government had booked Kappan under UAPA.
